“I have been making annual donations to The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award for thirty three years because it provides a tried and tested Programme of activities that equip young people for life.
Indeed The International Award Programme complements the academic education provided in Schools and helps young people become better citizens.
It is a worthy cause that could not be delivered on a global scale without the funds donated by benefactors and these days my donations are helping young people gain access to the Programme in Portugal.
Additional donors are needed in Portugal to accelerate the process of making The International Award available to more young people and particularly those educated in Portuguese State Schools.
